SP 4 - Quantification of Greenhouse Gas Fluxes
The subproject 4, “Quantification of Greenhouse Gas Fluxes”, will directly measure the emissions and deposition fluxes of CO2, CH4 between surfaces of various land use types and the atmosphere. The processes and conditions driving these fluxes will be studied, feedback mechanisms with climate change, the hydrological system, and with land-use change will be identified. Eventually, guidelines to minimize greenhouse gas emissions and to optimize carbon sequestration during development of land management strategies will be developed.
