SP 5 - Social-culture and governance (WP 5)
Subproject 5 is called “socio-culture and governance” and deals with stakeholder’s perspectives on ecosystem services and functions (ESS/F) for a customization of a sustainable land management. The aim of SP5 is to analyze local people’s value perception and their current use of ESS/F. Furthermore, the influence of customs, values and norms on land use management will be explored and participative techniques for a specific integration will be developed.
SP5 is particularly engaged in the development and implementation of participatory methods as well as the design and completion of interviews. A comprehensive stakeholder analysis will serve as basis for the research approach of SP5. The results will be used to develop sustainable land use strategies and techniques in order to meet needs on a local level and to ensure sustainable livelihoods for the rural population.
