  Quarterly Letter | Issue 3 | 1st of March 2012

Dear all,

today you receive Issue 3 of our regular “Quarterly Letter“.

We would like to take up this opportunity to welcome all regional projects on board of the module A which now comprises of 12 RPs conducting their work in various world regions. Besides sharing interesting stories, results and other information, we would like to continue with a brief introduction of all regional projects in the following issues of the Quarterly Letter. In this issue we introduce COMTESS, SuLaMa and TFO.

We also want to remind of the scientific coordination and synthesis project GLUES which provides overall support for all regional projects in different work areas:

  • Communication, support and networking
  • Overarching public relations and outreach
  • Providing a common data pool (geodata infrastructure)
  • Development of global models and scenarios
  • Combining results in a participative scientific synthesis
  • Stakeholder analysis, practice-oriented synthesis and continuation strategies
  • Science-Policy interface and support in feeding results into international
    conventions

A series of fact sheets for the individual work areas mentioned above have been designed and are available here (GLUES-fact sheet).

If you have any questions about GLUES and what it provides and delivers, feel free to contact us. We are looking forward to a fruitful collaboration with all regional projects within the Sustainable Land Management programme.

Best regards,

The GLUES Scientific Coordination Team
